School Library gets a makeover

Last Thursday (16th June), a group of students from the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET) visited Woodside to help us begin to revamp our Library. They updated our Library reminders and instructions posters, created a KS3-targeted ‘coming of age’ display and posters featuring quotes from diverse authors, and installed a cosy reading area complete with cushions and a throw.

They also helped us in the long overdue reorganisation of our shelving and seating area. Lots of students have commented that the Library feels much more spacious and engaging, and Mrs Skepple is also thrilled with the changes!

This is not the end, we are hoping to make the Library a more inviting space where students are encouraged to love reading – watch this space!
