Trip to the Charles Dickens Museum

On Thursday 20th October, 28 Year 11 students travelled to Russell Square with Ms Murray, Mr Boniface and Ms Elliott to partake in a workshop at the Charles Dickens Museum to support their current reading of A Christmas Carol. They learned about the realities of daily life in the Victorian era, including a bit too much information about commodes and cesspits! The visit was highly informative and behaviour on the trip was exceptional. Students were engaged and polite, with museum staff commenting on how impressed they were. We also had a celebrity sighting, bumping into Miriam Margolyes outside of the museum (although she was more easily recognised by staff than students)! Ms Elliott
