MAW students kick off conversation on mental health

Mulberry Academy Woodside students recently attended the Inside Matters conference hosted by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Premier League Inspires programme at the football club’s stadium in north London.  The event focused on promoting mental health awareness among young people and Year 8 and 9 students engaged in various activities to enhance wellbeing, including mindfulness workshops, managing stress through daily habits, and understanding the psychological impacts of music. They also practised meditation and breathwork. The stadium tour was a particular highlight, offering a unique break and a fresh perspective on wellness.  All sessions were interactive, providing students with practical skills to support their mental health and the whole enriching visit underscored the importance of mental health education, demonstrating how sports organisations like Tottenham Hotspur can play an effective role in community health outreach. The day was both educational and applied, with students and staff providing positive feedback on how the practical insights they gained would enrich their daily lives.
