Year 9 visits Charles Dickens Museum

On Friday 14th June, our Year 9 and future GCSE History students enjoyed an engaging and informative trip to the Charles Dickens Museum and the Royal Courts of Justice. At the museum, they explored Dickens’s home and learned about his life and crime and punishment in the Victorian period.  A workshop helped students understand the era’s laws before they headed off to the Royal Courts of Justice, where students participated in a mock trial to establish the fate of Jack Dawson, much better known as The Artful Dodger. The trip was educational and engaging, deepening their understanding of Victorian society.
