World tea Party
On Monday 16th, Mulberry Academy Woodside hosted a Tea Party to celebrate the launch of the Writing Club’s Anthology. First Story organiser, Kate Leahy spoke about how inspired she was with the quality of the student’s poetry.
Our writer in residence, Irfan Masters, spoke, from a video link all the way from Australia about the work and commitment from the students to produce the ‘Within the Words’ anthology. Students read their poems and extracts to the audience before being presented with their copy and certificates.
The afternoon concluded with delicious chocolate cake and conversations with their teahers.
