Year 7s celebrate World Languages Day

As part of World Languages Day, our Year 7 students at Mulberry Academy Woodside took part in a lively piñata-making activity. This hands-on experience, inspired by Mexican traditions, gave students the chance to explore different cultures in a fun and creative way.

Throughout the day, students learned some basic Spanish phrases while decorating their piñatas and discovering the meaning behind the custom. The excitement reached its peak when the piñatas were broken open, symbolising shared celebration and joy.

It was a fantastic way for our Year 7s to dive into cultural traditions while picking up new language skills. A big well done to all involved!
